Sources in Italy are claiming that Chelsea have had an initial offer rejected for Dusan Vlahovic.
They say that the Blues have had a €60m offer rejected for the Serbia player who joined them just 18 months ago from Fiorentina. He’s not done well in Turin there’s no doubt, but the whole side have struggled in that time and plenty of scouts clearly remember what we saw when he was in Florence – lots of goals.
Earlier in the window we believed in the rumours that there was interest in the striker. He’s one of the few forwards of the right age with the potential to be a top level player who is also on the market this summer.
But the announcement that we have this week signed Nicolas Jackson from Villareal makes us very doubtful that we will be spending again on a 9 this summer. Long term Jackson might not be the answer, but for now he will get his shot, and a big bid for Vlahovic looks doubtful.
