This week is set to be a final decisive week for Chelsea and Mauricio Pochettino as we finally reach the latter end of a long summer transfer window.
Clubs will be scrambling to get business done in these final three weeks so that they can complete their squads ahead of the rest of the new season, a season that actually officially begins this coming weekend. Chelsea, like many other clubs, have not got all their business done yet and actually have a lot left to do, especially more outgoings.
Sources: Chelsea now targeting Championship midfielder!
Pochettino and the players have recently returned from the USA tour and will now start preparing for Liverpool on Sunday. But as well as that, Pochettino is going to sit with Chelsea’s sporting directors this week in order to make final decisions on a few outgoing and loan calls.
That is according to insider Ben Jacobs, who has penned his latest exclusive and extensive Chelsea column for SPTC today.

Jacobs said: “Mauricio Pochettino was clear in America that he’d sit with the sporting directors when back in London and then make final decisions on loan deals (as opposed to doing it on tour), as well as any players who are surplus to requirements.”
