Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino has been in the press conference hotseat over night taking part in the Newcastle pre-match media duties.
Chelsea are now well in the swing of pre-season and after winning their first two friendlies, they will be looking to keep momentum going later today/early hours tomorrow against Eddie Howe’s Newcastle United, who will absolutely present a tough opposition.

Pochettino has been doing press conferences every few days, and there is a lot to talk about and many questions for him to take.
One of the biggest subjects this week has been the future of midfielder Conor Gallagher, with all sorts of rumours being said about him, some quite extreme.
But Pochettino has played down any chances of Gallagher leaving the club, saying that every player on the USA tour with him right now, is in his plans going forward. Pochettino also spoke on needing to sign another midfielder.
In words cited by Football London, Pochettino said: “At the moment, we are working to reinforce that area [midfield], and other areas also. I think the players that are here on the tour are in our plans, Chelsea plans. At the moment, nothing to say about the players we have here. We are working very hard to try to add more players in different areas and hope that is possible soon.
“Both parts have to say and have to agree. At the moment, nothing to say. Conor is in our plans, I was talking with him the first day I arrive. In football, things can happen we cannot manage. At the moment, I am happy with him and his performance, he has two years on his contract. Nothing to say.
“We need at least one more [midfielder] and we are working on that. It depends on what happens in the next few weeks. We will decide and take our decision. We need to add some player there. We need one more with experience.”
