Sunderland have completed the signing of Mason Burstow on loan for the rest of the season.
The young striker got regular appearances in preseason, and even got a goal in one of the friendlies.
His first start in a competitive game came this week when he played against Wimbledon, but that looks set to be his last for a while as he heads to the North East. The return of Armando Broja from injury in the next fortnight would have limited chances for the 20 year old going forward.

Burstow has showed his great talent as he’s risen through the ranks from non-League football, and we’re desperately excited to see what he can do in the Championship.
He arrives too late to feature in the Black Cats’ game against Southampton tomorrow, but we all know how hectic the fixture list in the Championship is, and Burstow will get the starts he needs to really improve this season, with manager Tony Mowbray hopefully taking him under his wing.
