Manchester City v Liverpool: Gut Feelings

Manchester City take on Liverpool at the Etihad Stadium as the Premier League returns to delight or weekends once again.

The blues can move four points clear of their second-placed opponents with victory, while a Liverpool win will see them take top spot for the weekend.

It’s set to be an interesting encounter, but what do our team think?

City return from the international break to face the Merseyside Reds. May not have Harland in this one but it’s bound to be close either way. I’ll take a Doku tally and one more from Foden as the Manc Blues down Liverpool.

City 2-1 Liverpool

You never know what to expect when these two play. It’ll either be an incredible game, loads of chances and goals, or very cagey with few opportunities. Given City’s last outing, I’m going for an open, end-to-end match which City will win. More often than not, Liverpool score at City, but I think the blues will get more.

City 3-1 Liverpool

Last Time Out

Well, I don’t think anyone expected a 4-4 draw at Stamford Bridge on our last outing, but what a match that was. Only Craig predicted a draw and no one got the right number of goals, although, with a 3-1 prediction, Thomas was halfway there. Craig moves level on points with Dillon, and Saul still leads the table, but only just!
