Manchester United co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe has made it clear that head coach Ruben Amorim’s future will not depend on the Glazer family.<\/h2>\n Manchester United co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe has insisted the Glazer family will not interfere in any decisions regarding head coach Ruben Amorim’s future. United’s head coach is under increasing pressure after a poor start to the new Premier League season.<\/p>\n
The Red Devils have picked up 10 points from their opening seven league games and currently sit 10th in the league. A 2-0 win over Sunderland in their most recent game temporarily put an end to speculation over a managerial appointment, but another period of poor form is expected to reignite the debate.<\/p>\n
Ratcliffe would play a pivotal role in determining Amorim’s fate.<\/p>\n

“Dear members of the press, sometimes I don’t understand,” Ratcliffe told the Business Podcast.<\/p>\n
\u201cThey want overnight success. They think it\u2019s a light switch.<\/p>\n
“You can flip a switch and everything will be different tomorrow. You can’t run a club like Manchester United by reacting instantly to journalists who abuse you every week.”<\/p>\n

Asked what he would do if ordered to remove Mr. Amorim, he simply replied, “I don’t think that would happen.”<\/p>\n
Amorim signed a three-year contract with Old Trafford in November last year. Ratcliffe has indicated he is willing to give the club time to reverse its fortunes.<\/p>\n

United will return to Premier League action after the international break when they travel to Anfield to face Liverpool on Sunday 19 October (4.30pm kick-off).<\/p>\n
