LONDON (AP) – British captain Harry Kane says he’s interested in returning to the Premier League. He says he’s calmed down because he’s “fully in” with Bayern Munich.<\/p>\n
Kane, 32, joined Bayern from Tottenham in the summer of 2023 and has signed a contract until the summer of 2027.<\/p>\n
The striker said when he left the Spurs he thought he would “certainly” return to British football one day. He’s no longer sure about it.<\/p>\n
“In terms of staying longer (in Bavaria), I definitely could see it,” Kane said. British obligations<\/span> It was ahead of the friendly relations with Wales on Thursday, and the World Cup qualifiers held in Latvia on October 14th. \u201cA few weeks ago I openly said that I hadn’t had a conversation with Bayern yet, but I would like to talk and have an honest conversation when they are born.<\/p>\n“It obviously depends on what happens the next year or so and what we achieve together. Now we are in a great moment and have no other thoughts. From a Premier League perspective, I don’t know. If I asked when I first went to Bayern, I would have said I’d certainly come back.<\/p>\n
Kane scored 11 goals in his first six Bundesliga matches, with Bayern scoring up to 18 points.<\/p>\n
Bayern sports director Christophe Freund recently said the team “is seeing perhaps the best version of Harry Kane ever.”<\/p>\n
“What I’ve learned in my career is that there are different opportunities and different timings and things are in place,” Kane said. “Now, I’m back to the first point with Bayern, and I’m totally with Bayern.”<\/p>\n
Kane said last season when Bayern won the league, he won his first major trophy at the club level, “it motivated me to do it more and get better.”<\/p>\n
“I think I showed that this year,” he said. \u201cI was interested in how I felt after winning the trophy, and obviously there is still more to achieve in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies.<\/p>\n
“But it always seemed to me in my head, ‘What was it like after I got the first one?” But certainly, I’ve pushed myself in the opposite way, in terms of getting even better, being even cleaner and trying to get the most out of it right now. \u201d<\/p>\n
