Alexander Isaac gave Chelsea an honest verdict on Liverpool’s heartbreaking final Gasp defeat as the Reds fell to third consecutive losses. Arne Slot’s team abandoned their position at the Premier League summit following Estebao’s dramatic 95-minute strike at Stamford Bridge.<\/p>\n
The crashing 2-1 defeat was hot shortly after consecutive defeats against Crystal Palace and Galatasaray, and Liverpool also shipped out the stop-time winner during their defeat at Selhurst Park last weekend.<\/p>\n
Isak acknowledged that suffering defeat in such a situation is the “worst” sentiment in football and while he remains optimistic, the Reds can bounce back after an international break.<\/p>\n

“I think we started out pretty bad,” he said. \u201cWe did pretty well in the game, I think we came out late and really gave it everything to get the results.<\/p>\n
“In the end, it’s obviously difficult at that very last minute. Just as winning this way is the best feeling, I think it’s the worst to lose this kind of way.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe created enough opportunities to score, but today it wasn\u2019t enough. We need to keep working hard, bounce back and get back to winning.<\/p>\n
“I think the belief that we can do is something we can do.<\/p>\n

Isaac was given his second Premier League start with Liverpool against Chelsea and founded the Cody Gappo leveler as he continues to regain match sharpness following the smashed preseason at previous club Newcastle United.<\/p>\n
Swedish International has admitted that he has not yet reached peak conditions, but remains optimistic about his upcoming campaign as he has provided insight into his progress.<\/p>\n
“It feels good. I’ve worked so hard to do my best,” he told LFC TV after his final whi. \u201cI still work to get back to my best form, but it was good to play again today.<\/p>\n
\u201cI wanted a different outcome, but we continue to work and I am very excited for the whole season that follows.<\/p>\n
“Each game, if you want to achieve what you want to do, you need to improve, but (I’m) really excited.”<\/p>\n
