Pressure on Reuben Amorim to deliver improved performance at Manchester United will result in Gareth Southgate being linked as a potential successor, but securing him is at a cost<\/h2>\n

Gareth Southgate will demand time and patience from Manchester United as replacement for Reuben Amorim. The former England manager is reportedly debating whether to throw the hat into the ring for management with the Red Devils if Amorim is fired.<\/p>\n
However, it has been suggested that Southgate will retain reservations on carrying out tenure at the club and will demand four years to change the tide at Old Trafford. According to the Sun, sources suggest that Boyhood United fans need to ensure they stick to planned long-term goals.<\/p>\n
The publication also argues that Southgate is concerned that the board will demand immediate success from him, but he has taken a long-term, progressive success-centered approach. The 55-year-old left his job after losing 2-1 in the final after leading three Lions to the runner-up position in the Euro 2024 since resigning as England’s manager last summer.<\/p>\n
However, the former Crystal Palace, Aston Villa and Middlesbrough star-turned head coach has been linked to his management with United since Ira Jimratcliffe bought a minority stake in the club last February. Miller Football understands he has serious reservations about getting a job.<\/p>\n

Southgate is not the only manager who has linked to subsequent Amorims. Palace boss Oliver Grasner and Brighton’s Fabian Hazeler are rumored to be their favorites to travel to Old Trafford upon Amorim’s departure.<\/p>\n
It still shows no signs of breaking up with Amorim as he is approaching his first year at the helm, despite United showing no signs of breaking up with Amorim in the end. The Portuguese tactician took over the club after Erik Ten Hag’s removal last October, but managed only an inactive finish in 15th place in the Premier League season.<\/p>\n
Amorim was ultimately allowed to do a disastrous show, but the 40-year-old can’t give the same excuse this time, considering he worked mainly with a team he inherited from the Dutch. That’s because the Red Devils board provided him with substantial support to make improvements to suit his patented 3-5-3 style of play.<\/p>\n

And games with Sunderland, an inform playing on Saturday, October 4th, against games like Liverpool, Brighton and Tottenham, could make the outlook much worse for head coaches in the coming weeks.<\/p>\n

Southgate has not managed in the Premier League since Middlesbrough was kicked out of the 2009 English Top Flight. Instead, he turned his attention to international management with the UK in 2013, earning the rein on the U21 side before being promoted to the first team three years later.<\/p>\n
He failed to win a massive trophy with the three lions, but he successfully guided his guide to the runner-up locations in the Euro 2020 and Euro 2024, similar to his third-place finish in the UEFA Nations League in 2018\/19.<\/p>\n
