Robin Van Persy praised Aston Villa ahead of the Europa League clash at De Quip on Thursday<\/h2>\n

Robin Van Persy has been pleased to see Aston Villa’s return since he brought time to his Premier League career. The boss of Feynord was encountered at the villa in December 2014. This is about a year and a half before the Midlands outfit fell into the championship.<\/p>\n
Van Persy had previously netted a memorable hat-trick with a villa featuring an epic volley from Old Trafford in April 2013.<\/p>\n
Recently, the villa has experienced an extraordinary revival.<\/p>\n

Supported by V-Sport ownership, and importantly, under UNAI Emery’s stewardship, the club achieved three European qualifying campaigns and reestablished among the English elite.<\/p>\n
“Aston Villa is clearly a great team with great managers,” Van Persy said at a pre-match press conference. “That’s a question. They’re very fit and very structured. I think we do. Based on that, it’s not a chaotic match.<\/p>\n
\u201cI think it’s going to be a very good game at first glance. They are definitely my favorites in my opinion, and that’s logical when we’re talking about the top teams in the Premier League.<\/p>\n
“Many players are there along or already there on their journey to becoming top footballers. But that’s not why we don’t do everything we can to win. That’s certainly more important than Eredivisie.”<\/p>\n
Van Persy added:<\/p>\n
“It was great how they improved and then entered the Champions League. They play in the strongest league. I’m interested and I want to measure where we are at this point.”<\/p>\n

After a volatile start to the season, Villa managed to secure victory in Bologna and Fulham last week, hoping for property.<\/p>\n
“The standards for the Premier League are very high,” Van Persy commented when asked about the shape of the villa. “It’s very difficult to win. Some games are really tactically good, but most games are just battles.<\/p>\n
“Every player is fighting every meter. That makes it really hard to win. Villas have really good structure and clear ways of attack. They have patterns, but they can lose with set pieces or free kicks. They have to demand in every aspect of the game.”<\/p>\n
Van Persy also welcomed villa striker Ollie Watkins ahead of Thursday’s meeting.<\/p>\n
England International, which failed to score in their previous seven Premier League appearances, opened an account for the season with Fulham on Sunday.<\/p>\n
When asked what he admired most about Watkins’ game, Van Persy said:<\/p>\n
“He’s fast, technical and his qualities lie in the box. He’s a huge threat to us tomorrow.<\/p>\n
“He’s definitely one of their threats. We had a meeting about Aston Villa this morning. He was pretty inside.”<\/p>\n
