Another off-key performance from Liverpool gave the Premier League champions to their second consecutive defeat.<\/p>\n
The deadlock broke in the 16th minute. Just seconds after Hugo Ekitique approached giving the Arne Slot men the lead. However, the striker was thwarted during a clean-through and after clearing a follow-up from the Cody Gapppo’s line, Galatasaray was awarded a penalty following a quick transition.<\/p>\n
The hosts are a better team and courtesy of some sloppy moments from the Reds, they improved early in the second half, but were given the opportunity to expand their lead. However, things got worse from worse when Allison was kicked out with an injury just before the time mark.<\/p>\n
Liverpool quickly introduced the cavalry as Mohamed Sarah and Alexander Isaac were caught up in the action. 1. The Reds are struggling to catch the light<\/h3>\n
Liverpool will compensate in the Champions League this year after falling in the final 16 hurdles of last term. But for clubs with catalogs filled with famous European nights, this will not live long in memory.<\/p>\n
The penalty that decided the game was awarded after a stray arm from Dominik Szoboszlai hit Baris Alper Y\u0131lmaz on the face and looked soft. But so did Liverpool. The VAR intervened correctly when it seemed like a slow penalty would bail them out. It’s not the first time this season. However, on this occasion there was no lifeline – and Liverpool can’t complain.<\/p>\n

To be fair to the slot, he hasn’t been so wrong since taking over Jurgen Klopp at Anfield. After all, this marks the second time during his tenure that Liverpool lost consecutive games. However, his decision to leave Mohamed Sarah on the bench and perform Jeremy Fripon before Dominique Sobosilai only did not land here.<\/p>\n
Galatasaray had a lot of joy on the right side of Liverpool, but it was not surprising when others, including Sarah and Isaac, were introduced at that time. Frimpong is a great player and Szoboszlai was acting as a right-back quite a while ago. Plus, if we’re fair, Sarah isn’t at the same height this season as he did in the previous term.<\/p>\n
But tonight felt like the wrong time to experiment, especially considering Liverpool doesn’t feel fluent at the best of the season.<\/p>\n
3. Ekitike makes corrections<\/h3>\n

Ekitique missed Liverpool’s only defeat against Crystal Palace for a “silly” red card after removing the shirt in his victory in the Carabao Cup at Southampton. However, the young French were resurrected for a trip to T\u00fcrkiye and quickly made corrections.<\/p>\n
Should he do better when he achieved his goal seconds before Galatasaray’s opener? yes. However, he was Liverpool’s best attacker and did not give Galatasaray’s defense a momentary peace. In this evidence, if both Ekitique and Isaac are fit, the slot could have a real headache in his hand – the issue of the former being forced to leave the field after 69 minutes is not to worry.<\/p>\n
4. Allison’s injured battling<\/h3>\n

On a night when he had little to do from Liverpool’s point of view, it was definitely a low point that Allison was injured.<\/p>\n
Liverpool’s No. 1 – Osimhen hurt himself by making a save to prevent Galatasaray from doubling the lead just before the time mark – has long been the Premier League’s best keeper, and his combination of brilliance and some slow goals has already saved Red from some sticky situations this season.<\/p>\n
Giorgi Mamardashvili is a great keeper and while the Brazilian can have a chance to be impressed if he is currently set on the sidelines for a long time, losing Alison is still a big blow.<\/p>\n
5. Reds teething problems continue<\/h3>\n

Liverpool may have won games this season – in fact, until Saturday’s Shock Reverse at Crystal Palace – but there was still an air of vulnerability about them. The Reds looked significantly deadly this season despite record summer spending.<\/p>\n
The slow target may be putting paper over some cracks, but the numbers on the other end are slightly noticeable. Liverpool only admitted four goals in their first eight games in all competitions last season, but does not include the Community Shield. This year, that number is 11, a source of concern for slots and Co.<\/p>\n
Given the major changes to the team, tooth problems may have been inevitable. But the way Liverpool was engraved is open again and open easily against Galatasaray. On the other hand, Daniel Sturridge best summed it up on Amazon Prime when he said after the match that “chemistry is not right.”<\/p>\n
No one expected Liverpool to be a completed article by October. But they are definitely far from where they expected them to be.<\/p>\n
