Jamie Carrager has given an overwhelming verdict on Reuben Amorim’s outlook at Manchester United after losing to Brentford. After securing a victory over Chelsea last weekend, the Red Devils had the opportunity to achieve their first Premier League victory under Amorim’s stewardship. But two first half strikes from Igor Thiago at GTECH Community Stadium have shattered those hopes considerably, with Matthias Jensen adding a third to his dying moment.<\/p>\n

Benjamin Sesco scored a goal for Maiden United early in the contest, but was unable to change the final result, and Bruno Fernandez also missed the penalty. According to Manchester Evening News, the United boss has already been struggling with a fourth loss in the campaign, but has not identified a potential successor.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Judging from his post-match comments, Amorim may have explained this position.<\/p>\n

“I’m not worried about my job. I’m not that kind of person,” he told the match that day. “That’s not my decision. I’ll do my best every minute I’m here.”<\/p>\n

Critics are also discussing his future at United, with Karager still the latest to provide his review and making his position clear.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

On Monday night football, he said: “I think he’s still at work.<\/p>\n

“This has been a disaster for Amorim and United. This has to be finished as soon as possible so that they make a decision on managers who are just waiting for the inevitable.”<\/p>\n

In a rather harsh tone, Carragher declared:<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Carragher suggested that the summer signature, particularly the three attackers, could still be effective in a more traditional back-four system.<\/p>\n

“A competent football manager could be united in a European place or certainly fighting for them,” he continued. “It couldn’t get worse.<\/p>\n

“What he did in the sport was really special, but it would be better for everyone to shake hands and move on.”<\/p>\n
