Hugo Ekitike came out of the bench to secure a spot for Liverpool in the fourth round of the Carabao Cup. It was the first time for the Frenchman to take a shower after the match.<\/p>\n
Forward Ekitike, who replaced Alexander Isaac at halftime after the Swedes scored Liverpool’s first goal, won by a pass from Federico Chiesa in the nine minutes of the Reds after Siah Charles began sending ties to penalties. However, after removing the shirt he was immediately sent for a second appointment.<\/p>\n

Isaac falls into the latter category, with the Swedes almost opening his account for his new club just for his intense drive, as if saved enough by veteran stopper Alex McCarthy.<\/p>\n

A slack pass from Joe Gomez allowed Armstrong and after the forward was disappointed when he saw his missing effort bounce off the crossbar, he would have been supported by watching his teammate Leo Sienza approach a simple head finish.<\/p>\n
However, the dream moment of the Brazilian-born midfielder in front of KOP was to turn into a nightmare as he somehow nodded widely. He would have known what was coming next.<\/p>\n
Sure enough, McCarthy’s whimsical backward whim was intercepted by Chiesa, who had delighted Isaac, squared to score a gift-wrapped goal about 38 seconds after Sienza’s Howler.<\/p>\n
It proves to be Isaac’s final say in the evening as he set out at halftime after his own tailored warm down.<\/p>\n
Ekitique quickly raised Chiesa and fired fire, but the Italians were offside and the French offered new threats in the attack, but he had no real service.<\/p>\n
The threat of that saint remains, and when Wataru End gets confused from Manning’s horn, they can get Charles the header in the wrong way.<\/p>\n
However, Liverpool quickly grabbed the winner, and as Ekichike was squared to tap the house he suddenly left the stage.<\/p>\n
