The game is scheduled to take place in the West Midlands on Sunday, with kickoff at 12pm. However, it was decided that the match would not continue after Beard died suddenly at the age of 47 on Saturday.<\/p>\n<p>In a statement, Aston Villa said: &#8220;The Barclays WSL fixture against Liverpool has been postponed following yesterday&#8217;s catastrophic news that Matt Beard has passed away.&#8221; Liverpool also confirmed that details of the rescheduled match will be announced &#8220;soon.&#8221; Beard successfully held a successful tenure at Liverpool, first leading her to women&#8217;s super league glory in 2013 and again in 2014.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>He managed the Reds twice. His first stint in 2015 returned to Merseyside six years later after spells at the Boston Breakers, West Ham and Bristol City.<\/p>\n<p>During the 2021\/22 season, he returned Liverpool to the WSL and reestablished him as the top-ranked, terrifying force.<\/p>\n<p>However, he won 19 of his 103 matches in his second spell, leaving Liverpool abruptly this February.<\/p>\n<p>He then took on the head coaching role at Burnley in June, but resigned last month to explore other opportunities.
