Andre Onana remained stunned by the enthusiastic reception she received in Turkey before joining Trabzonspor. Onana, 29, completes her loan move from Manchester United on Thursday and will spend the 2025-26 season with the Turkish Super Rig.<\/p>\n
Cameroonian goalkeeper has been surplus to requirements by United boss Reuben Amorim. Following Bayindir’s crude start to the season and an error-filled look of Onana in the humiliating Carabao Cup defeat to Grimsby Town, United have signed another goalkeeper, Senne Lammens.<\/p>\n
Lammens’ arrival was at \u00a318.2 million and \u00a33.5 million with the first \u00a318.2 million and potential add-ons, making it unlikely that Onana would push the Pcking Order further down and even benching a league game under Amorim. Looking for regular game time ahead of the 2026 World Cup, Onana has decided to leave Old Trafford to sign Trabzons Poll ahead of the Turkish transfer window closure on Friday.<\/p>\n
The 29-year-old landed at Trabzon airport along with his wife Melanie, and was soon attacked by supporters, bringing a smile back to his face after making another mistake when Cameroon lost 1-0 on Tuesday. “I’m very happy. I can say I’m very happy,” Onana told local outlet 61 Saat.<\/p>\n
“I’m starting a new project, a new adventure for me. I’m so happy to be here. This is a feeling that makes me so happy. I’ve never felt so much love from the people around me.<\/p>\n

“It’s a great feeling to feel like you’re home from the first moment. I want to get started as quickly as possible and reciprocate that love by making them happy on the field.”<\/p>\n
This loan does not include the option to buy, so you can see that Trabzonspor will fully cover \u00a3120,000 a week of wages. Onana was able to make her debut on Sunday as his new team travels to Istanbul to face Fenerbafe.<\/p>\n
“I’m always ready. I want all the players to participate in this type of game and participate,” Cameroon International added. “Of course we play against important, strong opponents. But we also recognize our strength.”<\/p>\n

Onana spent two seasons with the Red Devils after joining from Inter Milan in July 2023.<\/p>\n
His first season was littered with errors and he did little to boost his reputation in his second season. Onana wore the No. 24 shirt, which was currently the second in the league table, and earned 10 points from four games.<\/p>\n
