Ange Postecoglou joked that he might have to win the trophy in his first season at Nottingham Forest.<\/p>\n
The Australian took the reins on the city ground after a whirlwind week that replaced the 60-year-old Nuno Espirito Santo. His record as a manager – something he kept with the Spurs, where he lifted the Europa League – is that he won the trophy in his second season.<\/p>\n
However, given the flammable nature of Nottingham Forest owner Evangelos Marinakis, even the straight talk post-coglu admitted that pressure was under.<\/p>\n
Asked about his proud history, Forest’s new chief said, “I won several trophies in my first season, and in my first year at Celtic, I won a double.”<\/p>\n

When asked if he could win one in his first campaign in the East Midlands, he added, “Yeah, of course I can. I might need to enter my second year.”<\/p>\n
Postcoguro said he would call to suspend his 60th birthday celebration and lead him to take over from Nuno on the city grounds.<\/p>\n
He said “some peers came to celebrate a kind of ‘hangover’ weekend in connection with the famous film.<\/p>\n
It was interrupted by a chat about a potential opening at the former European two-time champion’s home.<\/p>\n

When asked how he handles Marinakis, he added:<\/p>\n
“People can’t deny that he took over this football club for the right intentions. It wasn’t a way for people to know who they are or throw themselves into the spotlight. He wants to have a team of winners. That’s not easy.<\/p>\n
\u201cHe went to London and took over one of the big clubs and you are guaranteed success.<\/p>\n
\u201cI love the fact that he covered the amazing history of the championship club and he brings it back to Europe.<\/p>\n
“There’s a real benefit to doing that, and I think it speaks well enough about the kind of person he’s in.”<\/p>\n
