The association announced Thursday that Chelsea&#8217;s charges are linked to alleged violations of agent regulations.<\/p>\n<p>The FA said the club was related to the period from 2009 to 2022, when it was owned by Russian oligarch Roma Abramovich, and was primarily linked to concerns between the 2010\/11 and 2015\/16 seasons. Chelsea will need to respond to self-reported charges by Todd Boley and Clearlake&#8217;s capital-owned groups until September 19th.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p data-mce-linkchecker-status=\"valid\">The FA has the authority to communicate point deductions or transfer bans, and did so in 2008 to Luton. Luton was awarded a 10-point penalty for irregularities in the club&#8217;s transfer transaction before sanctioning another 20-point move, due to failing to complete his satisfactory bankruptcy agreement.<\/p>\n<p data-mce-linkchecker-status=\"valid\">However, the parties are closer to conclusions as Chelsea hopes that the charges related to those at the club will receive a fine similar to the 2023 settlement penalty with UEFA.<\/p>\n<p data-mce-linkchecker-status=\"valid\">Fees were primarily tax-related issues and were subsequently resolved by the HMRC and did not affect Premier League profit and sustainability rules.<\/p>\n<p>Chelsea said: &#8220;Chelsea FC confirms that it has now reached conclusions on engagement with the FA regarding issues self-reported by the club. We will continue to work with the FA to conclude this issue as quickly as possible.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We want to document our gratitude to the FA for our involvement with the club in this complicated case. The focus was on issues that happened over a decade ago.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The Premier League is simultaneously investigating the Chelsea deal, originally announced by CEO Richard Masters in August 2023.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>The previous month, Chelsea agreed to pay \u00a38.57 million after acknowledging the &#8220;incomplete financial report&#8221; of their Abramovich era. UEFA confirmed that Chelsea has been &#8220;actively&#8221; approached to new information following the 2022 acquisition.<\/p>\n<p>Telegraph claims that the FA claims are linked to alleged payments to agents and officials via offshore entities, and that the relocation of Eden Hazard, Willian and Samuel Eto&#8217;o is being investigated.
