PARIS (AP) – French coach Didier Deschamps defended his decision to play Osmane Dembele and Desir\u00e9e Deux in the recent World Cup qualifying round, in which both Paris Saint-Germain stars were injured.<\/p>\n

They are expected to be out for a few weeks and may miss the first two matches of title holder PSG’s Champions League, separated at home in Atalanta and Barcelona.<\/p>\n

“PSG is not our opponent. Even if there is an interest we may fork, it was never the case. Our only opponent is Iceland.” “We, like all players, did things gradually, gradually taking into account how they feel. Unfortunately, this happens and has to do with two PSG players.”<\/p>\n

Deschamps was speaking the day after PSG wrote a letter to the French Football Federation, complaining about Demb\u00e9l\u00e9 and Dou\u00e9’s injuries last Friday.
