Their<\/span> The current campaign is overwhelming, beating Wolves 4-0 over the opening weekend, followed by a 2-0 loss to Tottenham, followed by a 2-1 loss at Brighton.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>The city turned its attention to off-field issues Monday afternoon with an update on the arbitration.<\/p>\n<p>And in the joint statement between the club and the Premier League, it reads: \u201cThe Premier League and Manchester City FC have reached a settlement in relation to the arbitration launched by the club earlier this year regarding the Premier League Related Party Trading (APT) rules, and as a result, the parties have agreed to end the lawsuit.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis settlement will put an end to the dispute between the parties over the APT rules. As part of the settlement, Manchester City accepts that the current APT rules are valid and binding.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;It has been agreed that neither the Premier League nor the club will comment further on this issue.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>    For the latest broken stories and headlines, sign up for the Daily Express Transfer Newsletter. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>Last fall, the majority of Top Flight clubs voted to approve the APTS changes.<\/p>\n<p>The settlement is separate from the 115 charges the city faces.<\/p>\n<p data-mce-linkchecker-status=\"valid\">New rules have been introduced to prevent clubs from profiting from commercial transactions of &#8220;fair market value&#8221; with businesses associated with owners. And earlier this year, City began a legal challenge to the Premier League over new regulations.<\/p>\n<p>In a letter sent to the club in February, Premier League CEO Richard Masters wrote:<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>\u201cThe Premier League strongly views the view that the amendments passed in November are legal and that the APT rules comply with all competition law requirements.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe believe that new arbitrations must be resolved as soon as possible, and to do so, we have agreed to appoint the same court to hear the new cases, and the parties are currently responding in relation to further directions.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The APT rules are fully powerful and effective, and clubs are necessary to comply with every aspect of the system.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The city and their Premier League rivals are currently enjoying a break from action during an international break.
