London City Lioness arrived in the Women’s Super League by completing the blockbuster of French midfielder Grace Jeyoro from Paris Saint-Germain on Friday, becoming one of the most expensive female players in the world.<\/p>\n

Club CEO Martin Semmens told Talksport Radio in response to reports from the UK media, London City paid a world record fee of \u00a31.4 million ($1.88 million) in world record fee ($1.88 million).<\/p>\n

London City was founded in 2019 and is a club owned by American businessmen. Michele Kang<\/span>he also owns the US Washington Spirit, the biggest rival of PSG’s French league. “It was very important to have this kind of profile for teams this season,” Precheur says. \u201cWe are a young club with a very short history and we want to develop this history.<\/p>\n

“We need to build a team, but when you’re such a young club, you need to breed the culture and all the staff and leaders of the club work very hard to breed this culture.”<\/p>\n

2025-26 WSL season starts on Friday. London City will visit Arsenal on Saturday for the opening game. <\/p>\n
