Alexander Isaac joined Liverpool on Monday with a reported \u00a3125 million ($170 million) from Newcastle, becoming the most expensive player in British football history after finishing the biggest story of the summer transfer window.<\/p>\n
The 25-year-old Swedish striker finally got his wish after openly revealing his complaints in Newcastle with an explosive Post on social media<\/span> He claimed he had broken his promises about an agreement allowing the club to depart for Liverpool.<\/p>\nWhile upset by this move, Isaac trained for several weeks from the Main Newcastle team, missing out on the team’s first three Premier League matches, including one against Liverpool.<\/p>\n
Liverpool adjusted that time before he returned with a ultimately successful offer to the striker, who scored 23 goals in the Premier League last season and scored 23 goals on the scoring chart behind Liverpool’s Mohamed Sarah.<\/p>\n
It was accepted by Newcastle, who failed last week (after a discussion with Isaac), in a final ditch attempt to keep him at the Saudi control club.<\/p>\n
The move was finally announced hours after the official closure of the summer window, and Isak said he found it “surprising” to join Liverpool on what the team said was a “long-term contract.”<\/p>\n
“It was a long journey to get here,” he said. \u201cBut I am very happy to be part of this team, this club and everything it represents, and it is something I am proud of and I am truly looking forward to it.<\/p>\n
“I’m happy to be finished and get back to work. I’m looking forward to seeing my teammates and fans and coming back there.”<\/p>\n

In a published spat, Newcastle has issued a statement denying that he has promised to sell Isaac and that Liverpool has effectively said it did not bid enough on the initial offer. The Northeast Club is a new force in British football after the Saudi-backed acquisition in 2021, facing a difficult position and essentially dissatisfied player on strike.<\/p>\n
Newcastle spent the money he earned from the ISAK sale by signing two strikers at Stuttgart in Brentford and Nick Ultemed in Joane Wissa, but at this stage it appears to be downgraded.<\/p>\n
Liverpool’s spending has reached <\/h2>\n
As for Liverpool, it is the most expensive signature and an astounding $570 million summer spending presence after winning the record-breaking 20th top flight English title. Among others are German playmaker Florian Wiltz (\u00a3116 million, $156 million), young French striker Hugo Ekitique and fullbacks Jeremy Fripon and Milos Kerkez.<\/p>\n
The spending was offset by Premier League champions selling things like Lewis Diaz, Darwin Nunez and Jarrell Quanza. Liverpool was quiet even in the offseason last season. ArneSlot spent time before overhauling the team that he inherited from Jurgen Klopp.<\/p>\n
The improvements have been overcharged at a significant cost over the past two months. <\/p>\n
