Roma was about to sign Manchester United winger Jadon Sancho this summer, but they are now focusing on a deal with 19-year-old Chelsea starlet Tyrique George<\/h2>\n

Rome reportedly ended Jadon Sancho’s pursuit, with the Serie A club instead focusing on a contract with Tyrique George. Sancho is part of Manchester United’s four-man bomb squadron, frozen by Reuben Amorim.<\/p>\n
Sancho is hoping to sell the winger before the transfer window closes as it is likely that Alejandro Garnacho, Antony, Tyrell Malacia and Rasmus Hojlund will leave last season.<\/p>\n
However, according to a report from Italian outlet Lagazzettadello Sports, interest in Rome’s Sancho is waning. Rome was desperate to strengthen widely this summer, and Sancho was their best target.<\/p>\n
Rome is said to have agreed to a deal with United to sign a loan with a \u00a320 million purchase option, and the club has set a deadline for Sancho to decide whether he wants to join. However, his wages have proven to be a problem, and the report says he has not responded.<\/p>\n
As a result, Roma switched his focus to Sancho’s teammate Chelsea Starlet George last season. The 19-year-old was impressed with his limited appearances, where Bruce and Rome manager Jean Piero Gaspelini believe they can “turn him into a new star.”<\/p>\n

The report says the move will be permanent rather than a loan, as George’s wages demand “a much more affordable than Sancho’s.”<\/p>\n
It is also argued that Chelsea wants to include a clause that would likely be deposited 30% of what Rome sells George in the bank. Interestingly, Sancho had previously welcomed George, claiming that the teenager “has the world at his feet.”<\/p>\n
In a social media post after George started his first Chelsea in the conference league last season, Sancho wrote:<\/p>\n

Chelsea defender Levi Colwill previously branded George as a “surprising” talent. After George scored his first Premier League goal, Colwill said:<\/p>\n
\u201cAnd I hope he comes and the score gives him a bit of confidence and hopefully he keeps pushing and he gets on our side, because he’s a great player, he’s not on the bench.<\/p>\n
