Reuben Amorim sat in Grimsby’s dugout and refused to see a penalty shootout as Manchester United side was dumped from the Carabao Cup by a League 2 outfit.<\/p>\n
The night began poorly as the Mariners took a 2-0 lead at halftime and led 2-0 due to a big mistake from Andre Onana. Harry Maguire’s late header saved the game at normal time with a shootout that determined who entered round three.<\/p>\n

He said: “In the end, the penalty is not important. After the game, if you win or lose, your emotions (about 90 minutes) should be the same. Let’s focus on the next game. And we have a lot of debt with our fans. Let’s focus on the game.<\/p>\n
The United boss also said, “I know that the best teams have won today, because when you’re a team, you can win any game. Today was really fair.”<\/p>\n

The loss at Grimsby was the second time in 30 years that he was thrown out of the Carabao Cup in the second round, or otherwise from the League Cup. Louis Van Girl was defeated by MK Don in 2014 and was humiliated when he saw Sir Alex Ferguson being beaten by York City in the mid-1990s.<\/p>\n
