Not long ago, Cobbie Mine was seen as a gem of the academy of Manchester United, a calm, visionary and technical range that many believed could moor the club’s midfield for the next decade. However, as the summer transfer window approaches, the future of Mainoo’s Old Trafford is suddenly doubtful.<\/p>\n
Reports suggest that the 19-year-old is open to leaving United as he is unhappy with the decline in opportunities under Reuben Amorim. And with contract renewal discussions stuck and many clubs circling, the coming days will allow for not only Mine’s career but also United’s longstanding midfield plan.<\/p>\n
United are said to value Mainoo between 40 million and 75 million euros, but in-season loans with the option to buy have emerged as the most possible path.<\/p>\n
This is the main candidate for landing the English stars.<\/p>\n

Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid<\/h3>\n
Both Madrid giants are monitoring the situation, according to Spanish reports. In search of depth after a midfield injury, Real Madrid sees Mine as a player who can learn alongside Jude Bellingham and Eduardo Camavivanga without the immediate pressure to be a starter. A loan with the option to buy from the Bernab\u00e9u makes the most sense for all parties involved.<\/p>\n
Atletico Madrid offers another appeal. Diego Simeone’s side thrives with energy and tactical discipline, and it’s fascinating to see him run alongside England’s International Conor Gallagher in the engine room of Wanda Metropolitano.<\/p>\n

Chelsea<\/h3>\n
Chelsea never links to the talented young players available, but they have been following Mine for several months and have remained strong interest. Their reconstruction features Stamford Bridge as a logical destination, and the club’s willingness to support the younger players is clear. However, United are reluctant to strengthen their direct rivals, which requires significant financial leverage.<\/p>\n
Tottenham<\/h3>\n
Thomas Frank needs a midfielder to set the tempo due to James Madison’s season injuries and Dejan Crucevsky’s own issues. And while Joao Palhinha has been lending for the campaign, it’s easy to see how Mainoo thrives under a coach like Frank. However, the same warnings apply as Chelsea. United don’t want to improve their rivals to finish in the top four.<\/p>\n

Brighton<\/h3>\n
Albion’s reputation for turning young talent into stars makes them an ideal destination for Mine-san to make a big impact, allowing United to move him to the south coast, not Brighton’s expected rival in Champions League spots (despite his finishing location last season).<\/p>\n
Serie A and later<\/h3>\n
Interest is also growing in Italy.
