LONDON (AP) – Brentford striker Joanne Wissa says he wants to leave the Premier League club and says he’s “in the way.”<\/p>\n
A day before the end of the soccer summer transfer period, Wissa on Sunday criticized Brentford for rejecting obvious offers from another Premier League club despite his willingness to switch between teams. <\/p>\n
That’s what Wissa, the target of Newcastle I’m still playing for Brentford this season<\/span> And he had already removed his relationship with the club from his Instagram account.<\/p>\nOn Sunday, the 28-year-old Congo International took a step further with its social media network.<\/p>\n
“At the beginning of the summer, I had public discussions with senior club managers, including key directors and new head coaches,” Whissa wrote. “I have made clear my intention to explore new challenges. During these conversations I have confirmed with me and my representative that if a reasonable offer was received, the club will not get in my way, which was also written.”<\/p>\n
Wissa thought Brentford had reached an agreement with other clubs over his transfer, but since then he said, “It has changed my position against what has been told. This put me in a difficult and frustrating position. The commitment that allows me to leave this summer doesn’t need to write it.<\/p>\n
Wissa scored 19 goals in the Premier League last season, and formed a strong partnership with Brian Mbeumo.<\/p>\n
“This was never about leaving a great football club,” Wissa wrote. \u201cWe are permitted to move forward with Brentford’s blessing based on our recurring commitment to being able to head off for a new chapter this summer.<\/p>\n
