Chelsea’s opening goal went deep into the extra time in the first half, and after the first eight minutes, Silva believed that half should be finished. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n

For the Blues’ second goal, umpire Rob Jones penalized Ryan Sesegnon’s handball despite what appears to be Joan Pedro Moment’s handball.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Silva was furious during the game, but was calm as he gave a large amount of explanations about how he felt after a conflicted loss.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

“As a football lover, a manager, a former player, and sometimes as a fan, I feel really sad,” he said.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

“It’s clear. Millions of people watching on TV are a special game with the best competition in the world. My team played outstanding football in the first half, playing football without fake buses or trying to park.” <\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

He continued: “We know the difference in pitch, the financial perspective, the size, and all of that. They are on another planet. But we know what we can do, so I think we showed it. The boys were outstanding. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

“After what happened with us last week, the controversy in the game with Man United, all the decisions with VAR that people don’t understand. One goes in one direction, the other goes in a different direction. For the opposition, it decides in a different way for us. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

“We’re always here to learn and get players to understand things, but without direction it’s almost impossible to make them feel unbalanced in the end.”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Fulham brought the game back to life midway through the first half. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Cole infuriated Fulham’s supporters who went on the road to Silva and Stamford Bridge, sharing the views of the TNT Sports panel on the commentary that Rodrigo Muniz accidentally stepped into the Chelsea defender while trying to avoid a tackle.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

“Performance-wise, he was outstanding in the first half,” continued Silva. “Every decision from VAR, every decision from REF, that had a big impact on the game, and the second half wasn’t at the level where I wanted to see our team.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

“I told them, we have no control over all decisions that go against us. It’s incredible how you don’t allow such goals. It’s incredible. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n

“We’re all holding meetings with judges and officials who we all want to win. But we’re going there to see the direction of things. One of the main things is that Var isn’t here to judge the game.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Fulham’s boss attempts to slow himself down and says he will “say nothing more” in fear of being punished, but at the end of the first half he openly reveals his interactions with the judge.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

“The first goal, for example,” Silva said. “The extra time of eight minutes of the first corner. After the first corner, it was already nine minutes. They had the first corner in eight minutes. They already wanted nine minutes. He has to stop the game, he has to respect the rules. He has to stop the game. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

“I asked the referee, he told me, ‘I was talking to one player so I lost time.’ I checked 8 minutes, the game didn’t stop for a second.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Chelsea’s second goal put the VAR in another long wait to determine the handball for Sessegnon and Pedro.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

It was later established that Sesegnon “smallly large” his body when blocking the cross and a penalty was awarded.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

“It’s very difficult,” Silva said. “There’s a lot to say. I make mistakes, umpires can make mistakes. The Premier League is very intense and very tough. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

“I want to understand because, for me, it’s about understanding how to follow decisions and protocols. That’s the main thing for me. Sometimes I’m happy with the outcome and sometimes I’m against me like I did this afternoon.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
