Bayern Munich boss Vincent Company spoke after striker Nick Urtemade became the latest transfer target to miss out on his Premier League rival.<\/h2>\n

Bayern Munich boss Vincent Company claims that “money” is the reason his side missed several transfer targets this summer. Bayern was able to strengthen their team with the signatures of Louis Diaz and Jonathan Ta, but teenage prospect Tom Bischoff also joined us.<\/p>\n
However, after the 22-year-old decides to join Liverpool instead, they miss Florian Whartz and Nick Ultemaid is on the verge of signing Newcastle. And when asked why players like Wirtz and Woltemade were moving into the Premier League instead of joining Bayern, Kompany simply replied “money.”<\/p>\n
His answer prompted laughter from reporters at a press conference, but then Company expanded his point, urging the entire Bundesliga to “find ways to stay competitive.”<\/p>\n
“I remember always going to the Premier League with Burnley,” he explained. \u201cWe were promoted to the Premier League, but suddenly, when TV money comes in, it’s \u00a3100 million for a promoted team.<\/p>\n
\u201cAnd the rest of the teams will (and increase) all the way to the top, so from a budget of \u00a325-3 million a year, the promoted teams will have a budget of \u00a3120 million, competing against Bundesliga’s top six.<\/p>\n

“In Burnley, we were in the market for Frankfurt and Wolfsberg and players, and we just showed up. That’s the reality. Sunderland is currently competing with AC Milan by buying players from Leverkusen.<\/p>\n
“It’s just a financial reality. Now, when you have that \u00a3100 million and you come to the Premier League, it means nothing because everyone else has more.<\/p>\n
“It’s the nature of what they could develop there over the years, especially on television money and how they got promoted internationally. I don’t think it’s just a Bayern Munich debate. I think it’s a debate to find a way for the Bundesliga to stay competitive.<\/p>\n

“The positive is that not every player who goes to the Premier League has five or six-year players who are the top players in the Bundesliga.<\/p>\n
“They went after a year or two, so this year means there’s more players coming, and they’re going to be new superstars. I don’t think there’s a lack of quality.”<\/p>\n
