Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta confirmed reports that Ebelech Eze called him to design a move to Arsenal instead of Tottenham, saying “it showed how much he wanted to come.”<\/p>\n
Eze’s huge U-turn was the story of this week when Thomas Frank’s outfit was glued to join Arsenal rival Tottenham after agreeing to Crystal Palace and a \u00a360 million fee for the English star.<\/p>\n
However, Arsenal raced dramatically at the last minute, and Eze always liked to move towards the Emirates as a boyish gunner fan, so he pulled the rug from underneath the Spurs.<\/p>\n
However, Arteta backed up and claimed that Eze actually called him to join the team and asked him to move to Arsenal.<\/p>\n
After Leeds’ 5-0 thrashing, Arteta was asked about the rumor that Eze called him and said, “It shows how much he wants to come.<\/p>\n

“It’s very different from time to time because players want to be very open and transparent because they have to make decisions in their careers, but I’m happy to have him. You can see how much it means to him and his whole family.”<\/p>\n
The Spurs locked their hopes into Eze after leaving them without acknowledging No. 10 due to the long-term injury that James Madison suffered, and the club now moves focus elsewhere.<\/p>\n
Eze moved his silence as he wrote a sincere message to the palace fans who helped him realize his dream of playing in the Premier League.<\/p>\n

\n<\/figure><\/span>Arteta said the gesture showed how much the playmaker wanted to participate in the gunners<\/span><\/figcaption><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
“Five years, man. Crazy. Yesterday, I feel like I was walking through the door to join from QPR. On the day that gave me the opportunity to make my dream come true of playing in the Premier League, I realized my dream for the biggest club in South London.<\/p>\n
“Wembley of that journey. I won’t try Gunna because the words of the day aren’t enough to explain what we all experienced that day, but what I say is that God did something to connect us for generations.<\/p>\n
“So, after all this, what I really want to say is to you. Thank you for trusting me, thank you for giving me a chance, and for sharing the love that lasts for life.<\/p>\n
Eze’s first opportunity to play for Arsenal will take part in a massive game for Arsenal as he travels to title rival Liverpool next Sunday.<\/p>\n
