Wiesbaden, Germany (AP) — Harry Kane delved deep into the winning goal Wednesday to give Bayern Munich a 3-2 victory to the third division team, avoiding the exit of the potential shocking first round and giving Bayern Munich a 3-2 victory. German Cup<\/span>.<\/p>\n

Kane had already scored one penalty and saw another penalty saved by Wysbudden goalkeeper Florian Stritzel.<\/p>\n

“Crazy games…we had a huge opportunity to clean up the game, but they were credited and they stuck to it,” Kane told broadcaster Sky Sports. “We know we’re not a perfect team yet. We know there’s something to work on, and tonight we’re showing it.”<\/p>\n

Bayern has been suffering from the Shock Cup loss in recent years and has come dangerously close after giving up a two-goal lead.<\/p>\n

Kane began Bayern from a penalty spot 16 minutes later after Weesbuden’s Ryan Johansson pushed Bayern fullback Sacha Boy. <\/p>\n

It was Kane’s 90th Bayern goal in his 99th match in all German club competitions, Hat Tricks against Leipzig<\/span> Last week in the Bundesliga. <\/p>\n

Michael Oris made it 2-0 from a loose ball on the 50th, but Wiesbaden fought back shortly after Fatih Kaya scored in a rare offense by the hosts. Kaya’s speed made the difference once again when he leveled his score by surpassing Bayern defender Jonathan Tah on another counter. <\/p>\n

Kane had the opportunity to seal the victory with another penalty after being fouled in a clumsy sliding challenge, but Stritzel saved both the England captain’s spot kick and his follow-up header. <\/p>\n

As extra time approached, Stanisic hit a cross from the deep and Kane rose to his feet above defender Justin Janitzek to lead the winner.<\/p>\n

The German Cup has been Bayern’s least successful competition in recent years. Since their last victory in 2020, Bayern has not surpassed the quarterfinals and have lost in the second round in the last five years.<\/p>\n

Bayern’s victory over Wiesbadden was the last of the first round of the game of 32. All but one of the 18 Bundesliga teams ended up in the second round. Werder Bremen was the exception, beaten by Arminia Bielefeld, the runner-up last year.<\/p>\n
