NEWCASTLE, UK (AP) — Newcastle forward Anthony Gordon has apologised to Virgil Vandick for his reckless challenge, captaining Liverpool and winning a red card. Wild Premier League Match<\/span> Between teams.<\/p>\n

Van Dick and Gordon discussed each other, and Judge Simon Hooper saw the incident on a pitchside monitor before awarding the red card.<\/p>\n

“If it’s not a send-out, I told him, I don’t understand football,” Van Dik said. “Unfortunately, these things happen in football. Whether he means that or not, it happened. We’ll move on.”<\/p>\n

For Gordon, it was the second red card in six months.<\/p>\n

“I’m back and like all the other setbacks I’ve ever faced,” he wrote.<\/p>\n

Gordon will be suspended for the next three domestic games:<\/p>\n

He was filling up as a Newcastle striker because of the absence of Alexander Isaac.
