NOTINGHAM, UK (AP) — Nottingham Forest coach Nuno Espirito Santo on Friday admitted he is worried about job safety as his relationship with club owner Evangelos Marinakis is getting worse.<\/p>\n
The Portuguese coach led Forest to a seventh place finish in the Premier League last season. The club secured its place in Europe for the first time in 30 years and launched the campaign with a victory over Brentford.<\/p>\n
Still, his work is not safe to sign Improvements to the June contract.<\/span><\/p>\n“I’ve always had a very good relationship with the owner. Last season (IT) was very, very close,” Nuno said at a press conference ahead of Friday’s match against Crystal Palace. “It’s not very good this season… And there’s fire where there’s smoke, so I know how things work, but I’m here to do my job.”<\/p>\n
He added that the situation was “the first person I’m worried about.”<\/p>\n
Marinakis, also owns Greek champion Olympiacos, and is known for his football. “I don’t know why behind it,” Nuno said of his relationship with Marinakis. “The reality is that it wasn’t before. We used to be a respectful relationship, but it was based on trust and sharing opinions, but now it’s not that good.”<\/p>\n
