Spain defeated struggling Argentina 1-0 in extra time in the final, winning the World Cup for the second time.<\/p>\n

After a brilliant performance before kick-off, the first half was very volatile with Ramin Yamal coming closest. Manchester United defender Lisandro Martinez suffered heartache when he was sent off with an injury just before the break.<\/p>\n

Both teams then had to sit in their respective locker rooms for a relatively long time, as the World Cup final was interrupted for a much-anticipated halftime show.<\/p>\n
