Manchester United skipper Bruno Fernandez congratulated former teammate Scott McTominai on the Baron Domo or nomination. Fernandez, 30, was not on the exclusive list after United’s poor campaign last season.<\/p>\n
The best part of a year ago, McTominay parted ways with Red Devils to move to Napoli. He quickly adapted to life in Serie A and quickly made a big impression on Antonio Conte.<\/p>\n
Scott ended his campaign with 13 goals and six assists in 36 appearances in all competitions as Napoli attacked Scudetto. His amazing performance won him among the world’s soccer elites.<\/p>\n

He will win the awards along with treble-winning Paris Saint-Germain star Osmane Dembele, 17-year-old Barcelona Sensation Raminyarmal, former Leeds United star Rafinha and many other top talents.<\/p>\n
McTominay’s exit at United was organized by Ex-Boss Erik Ten Hag as part of a strategy to raise funds for the new central midfielder. United have earned a tidy total of \u00a325.7 million in pure profits from the sale of Scotland International.<\/p>\n
This was directed at the signature of Manuel Ugarte, whose potential add-on arrived from PSG for \u00a38.4 million for \u00a342.1 million, but the sale of McTominay now looks like a big mistake in judgment.<\/p>\n
Despite missing out on the nomination, Fernandez showed his class by posting a personal celebration to McTominai.<\/p>\n
He uploaded a post from his official Ballon D’Or Instagram account with the caption, “Burning for my friends.”<\/p>\n

McTominay will look into where he ranks among the best positions in the world at the 69th Ballon d’Or ceremony, scheduled for September 22nd at the Theatre DU Chatelet in Paris.<\/p>\n
Despite his exit from Old Trafford, in a recent interview at Wimbledon, McTominai showed no hostility to his front.<\/p>\n
He said: “I always want the absolute best for Manchester United. It’s been my life for 22-23 years. For me, I wish the club all success in the world.<\/p>\n
In another interview with BBC Radio 5 Live, he acknowledged that the transition to Naples was a major step in his career and life. He said: “It gives you more spiritual strength. I have always lived near my mother, so I could go anytime.<\/p>\n

\u201cNow I live 1,500 miles away so I can’t go home and see my mother, my family, my sister, my kids, so that’s not the case.<\/p>\n
“I don’t want to be in my comfort zone. If I could leave everywhere and establish myself and do well, why would I stop doing it?”<\/p>\n
While McTominay won the Serie A, United endured a disastrous campaign that ended in 15th place. The possibility of redemption in the Europa League also eliminated their chances of playing in Europe after losing 1-0 in the Tottenham Hotspur final.<\/p>\n
