Pep Guardiola believes Manchester City doesn’t have a Rodri that will fit perfectly until mid-September.<\/p>\n

The Spanish star has suffered from gro caliber problems with Alhiral at the World Cup at the 16-year-old FIFA club. The 29-year-old Ballon d’Or winner has been working individually from his first team since city players returned from last summer vacation.<\/p>\n

He attended two full sessions this week, but is not included in the team to travel to Palermo for his friendliness this weekend, and will not play for the Wolves on the first day of the season.<\/p>\n

“Rodri is getting better, but he suffered a major injury in his final match against Al Hilal,” Guardiola said. \u201cHe hopes he will really be healthy over the last few days.<\/p>\n

“Hopefully he can play in these games for a few minutes, but the key is that he doesn’t want to get hurt, so he’s not hurt.<\/p>\n

“We’re trying so hard to avoid that. He’s been training the last two sessions with us, which is a good thing.”<\/p>\n

Rodri is one of the four players left to avoid fitness risks. The English International Phil Foden, Josco Gvaldior and the youth Claudio Ekevelli are all not perfectly suited and therefore are not travelling.<\/p>\n

Foden and Gvardiol are looking to face the wolves on Molineux next Saturday, but Echeverri’s future remains uncertain among loan profits and the non-home players City is going to include in the Champions League team.<\/p>\n
