England face Norway for a place in the World Cup semi-finals, but all is not looking rosy in the Scandinavian camp ahead of Saturday’s showdown in Florida.<\/h2>\n

Norway international Alexander Sorloth’s father has revealed that the Atletico Madrid striker was “frustrated” on the eve of the World Cup match against England. Former Norway star Goran Sorloth has claimed that Staare Solbakken’s release of his son is frustrating the former Crystal Palace striker.<\/p>\n
With top scorer Erling Haaland (25) leading the line, the striker was forced to play wide for Norway and was substituted at half-time of the famous 2-1 win against Brazil. The Manchester City star set up a juicy showdown with England, the 1966 World Cup winners, by scoring the winning double as the record holders were eliminated.<\/p>\n
Ahead of the match, it was revealed that Soros, who had only scored once in 20 appearances for Palace, was furious at Solbakken’s decision to send him off at half-time for Fulham playmaker Oscar Bobb during their round of 16 clash.<\/p>\n
“He gets annoyed when he gets sacked. He should do it every day of the year, whether it’s the World Cup, the European Championship or regular international matches,” Golan told Dagblade.<\/p>\n

Despite being furious at Solbakken’s decision, the forward’s father insisted there was no love lost over the incident. “I don’t think there were any heated arguments with Stare Solbakken. They know each other very well and there was even talk of exchanging things and things. They are still the best friends in the world. I believe that together we can go far.”<\/p>\n
The 30-year-old was unable to add to his 26 international goals at the World Cup as Norway embark on a historic run that puts them at least 90 minutes away from a major semi-final. England stand in their way after defeating Mexico 3-2 at Azteca Stadium on Monday (kick-off July 22nd, 10pm). Haaland needs to be disabled if Thomas Tuchel’s side are to continue their World Cup dreams.<\/p>\n
The City forward has had a great tournament so far and has been the driving force behind their path as a World Cup dark horse. The 25-year-old is in contention for the Golden Boot, sitting just one goal behind current pacesetter Lionel Messi. Messi had a goal and an assist against defending champion Argentina and a goal and an assist against Egypt, leading to a famous come-from-behind victory.<\/p>\n

Shot-stopper Orjan Nyland has claimed that Norway’s team doctor has been “very busy” in the days before the match between the two European nations at Lockhorn. “I can tell you that’s true, we have a problem and we’re doing the best we can and our team doctors are very busy right now,” Niland told James Corden.<\/p>\n
“I don’t know what the cause was. We had a bit of a break so maybe someone caught something. I hope everything goes well and we play against England on Saturday with a fully rested team.”<\/p>\n
Dagbladet reported that fatigue has played a role while illness has plagued the camp throughout the tournament. But the psychological battle over the quarter-finals continues as Norway’s team doctor moved to downplay a medical problem that would impede preparations.<\/p>\n
He said: “Considering we’ve been together for almost six weeks, there’s been very little fuss. It’s great that they believe this. We’re in control.”<\/p>\n
