Arne Slot accepts that Liverpool is a favorite of the Premier League title, but argues that it shouldn’t be about the money they’ve spent.<\/p>\n
The Reds splashed cash this summer, with their spending reaching nearly \u00a3300 million. However, the defending champions have so far raised nearly \u00a3150 million on player sales, leaving more out in the coming days and weeks before the window closes.<\/p>\n
The Liverpool boss said: “If you win last season, it’s very normal that you’re once again a part of your favorite next season. For me, our net spending is not our favourite compared to other teams, so if we look at the past two seasons, that’s not normal.<\/p>\n

Liverpool only spent \u00a310 million last summer at Federico Chiesa, but they earned more in their expulsion. They are set to crush the UK transfer record with a \u00a3116 million contract for Florian Wiltz, but Alexander Isaac will cost \u00a3102 million to get from Newcastle at least this summer.<\/p>\n
Arsenal spent nearly \u00a3200 million this summer and brought in just \u00a39 million, but Manchester United’s move to Benjamin Sesco will win spending on the \u00a32 million mark without any money yet from the exit. Manchester City spent \u00a3151 million in the summer, but also jumped out in January, with the window earning \u00a342 million. Chelsea spent more than \u00a3200 million, but raised more than \u00a3100 million.<\/p>\n
Slot added: “This is the Premier League, and this is what makes this league so great. I think there was only one exception (which didn’t spend much) in the last two, three, four, five, six years. Last season was Liverpool.<\/p>\n
\u201cSunderland is like spending money… Of course, they’re promoted, so they have a lot of money, so that’s what happens in the Premier League, so it’s a really nice league.<\/p>\n

“So if we’re a favorite because we spent a bit, I’d look strange because we lost a lot too. But we won it last season and we’re a favorite because we played so well, and that’s clear.<\/p>\n
“That hasn’t changed compared to last season. It’s not because we lost players, but because we brought players. The ambitions are always the same at this club.”<\/p>\n
The slots remained tightly closed with ISAK’s pursuit and the possibility of attackers entering, but if Newcastle strikers are available while the defenders are on the card, they are ready to spend a lot of time.<\/p>\n
