England medics rushed to help Jordan Henderson, who was injured during England’s celebrations, before he was carried away on a stretcher.<\/h2>\n

Jordan Henderson was carried off on a stretcher and put on oxygen in worrying scenes shortly after England’s big win over Mexico. The former Liverpool captain is currently being taken to hospital for treatment after landing awkwardly and hurting his arm while trying to climb over an advertising sign during the full-time celebrations.<\/p>\n
Henderson’s teammates appeared to crowd around him as he was treated by doctors before he was placed on oxygen and taken off the pitch on a stretcher. Jude Bellingham was also furious at what happened behind the goal and Harry Kane had to drag him away.<\/p>\n
Asked for an update on his team-mate, Three Lions captain Kane said: “Jordan (Henderson) just fell over there. I think he’s OK. He just had something wrong with his arm.”<\/p>\n
However, fellow teammate Bellingham revealed that Henderson’s injury appeared serious. He said: “He’s in a bit of trouble, but the medical team is keeping everything under control. We don’t really know what’s going on, so it’s best not to give too many details, but everyone was there to support him and it was great to see even that.”<\/p>\n
Tuchel provided a worrying update on Henderson’s condition, saying: “Not good, not good. Next up is a red card for the right defender. Jordan just fell down with a wrist injury. It’s looking really bad.”<\/p>\n
It is not yet clear whether Henderson’s injury means the end of the tournament. It is understood the England midfielder was subsequently taken to hospital for further tests and treatment.<\/p>\n

Henderson’s accident occurred as he and his teammates were celebrating a hard-fought 3-2 victory. After Jude Bellingham’s two goals gave Mexico a 2-0 lead, Julian Quinones hit back just before the break.<\/p>\n
The Mexicans’ confidence was further boosted when right-back Jarrell Quansah was sent off for a shocking challenge early in the second half, but Tuchel’s side quickly hit back with a penalty from captain Kane after Anthony Gordon was brought down. Raul Jimenez increased England’s nerves by adding his own penalty, but Tuchel’s side managed to finish the game off.<\/p>\n
A draw with Norway awaits in the quarter-finals, but the German coach said: “I’m very proud. We needed everything. It was very difficult. Just when we thought we had the momentum, we went backwards. That’s the right mentality.”<\/p>\n
He further added: “This team is serious. Even when the going gets tough, they never give up, never lose faith. They were one step away.<\/p>\n

Former England forward Wayne Rooney reflected on the win in the BBC studios, saying: “It was one of the best results and performances. They showed tonight, the attitude, the grit, the drive, everything you want an England team to show.
