Marcus Rashford is playing for England at the World Cup, but his future at the club remains uncertain.<\/h2>\n

Marcus Rashford has vowed he will “not deal” with the club’s future until after the World Cup. He is a big part of England and Thomas Tuchel’s side in the United States and will likely feature in the Round of 16 match against Mexico.<\/p>\n
However, regarding the future of the club, he is still unsure about a transfer. Rashford returned to Manchester United after Barcelona chose not to take up their option to sign him on a permanent deal for \u00a326 million.<\/p>\n
Despite this, he does not want to remain at United and it is understood that United are reluctant to loan him out again, preferring to sell him outright. Despite the uncertainty, Rashford insisted his focus was solely on the Three Lions.<\/p>\n

“As a human being, I’m living in the moment,” Rashford told the media before the game against the co-hosts in the early hours of Monday morning.<\/p>\n
“I spoke clearly with all the parties involved before the World Cup. We wanted it to be done before the World Cup and if not, we won’t deal with it until it’s done.”<\/p>\nContent cannot be displayed without consent<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n
“I want to be fully present in this moment. At the same time, we’re fighting for something. I don’t have the energy to put it into anything else.”<\/p>\n
Rashford’s contract at Old Trafford runs until the summer of 2028. He made 49 appearances for Catalonia, scoring 14 goals and providing 14 assists, and was widely expected to make a permanent move to Camp Nou.<\/p>\n

After playing a big part in their La Liga victory, Barcelona did not take up their \u00a326m option to sign Rashford, opting instead to sign England team-mate Anthony Gordon for \u00a369.3m.<\/p>\n
The 28-year-old is currently expected to join United’s pre-season squad three weeks after England’s World Cup campaign concludes. A move to Tottenham, Arsenal and Chelsea have also been linked, but a permanent move to Barcelona is understood to remain his preferred option.<\/p>\n

The Catalans have not given up hope of re-signing Rashford, but are understood to be keen to loan him out again. It is thought that United are unwilling to let the player leave the club temporarily again and are demanding a permanent sale.<\/p>\n
They have contingency plans in place in case Rashford cannot find another club and has to stay at Old Trafford. Despite this, they are still thought to be interested in signing a new left-winger, with West Ham’s \u00a350m-rated star Crisencio Somerville currently their top target for the position.<\/p>\n
