Barcelona are seeking a sensational move for the England captain and have made contact with Harry Kane’s agent. Kane, 32, is in the final year of his contract with Bayern Munich and has enjoyed three productive seasons.<\/p>\n
The striker and his family have settled in Bavaria and informal negotiations over a new contract took place last season. But as things stand, Kane’s long-term future remains uncertain.<\/p>\n
As a result, according to the Mail, Barcelona executives have contacted Kane’s camp. After expressing their interest, the La Liga champions agreed to reconsider the situation once England’s World Cup campaign is over.<\/p>\n
Kane scored his third goal of the tournament in a 2-0 win over Panama in New Jersey on Saturday. England face the Democratic Republic of the Congo in the round of 32 on Wednesday, before potentially playing Mexico or Ecuador.<\/p>\n

Kane’s camp is said to have broken off conversations in a phone conversation with Barcelona, \u200b\u200bwith the focus after the World Cup likely to be on agreeing a new contract with Bayern. The German giants are desperate to retain Kane, who scored an astonishing 61 goals in 51 games for the club last season.<\/p>\n
Bar\u00e7a are looking for a new number nine after former Bayern striker Robert Lewandowski decided to leave the Camp Nou. Hansi Flick’s side are trying to sign former Manchester City forward Juli\u00e1n \u00c1lvarez, but Atletico Madrid are currently refusing to sell him to domestic rivals.<\/p>\n
Kane has frequently reiterated that he is happy at Bayern and has chosen not to trigger a clause in his current contract that would allow him to leave Bayern for \u00a356m this summer.<\/p>\n

Club legend and Bayern advisor Karl-Heinz Rummenigge revealed in April that formal negotiations would take place after the end of the season, with the 32-year-old securing the Bundesliga title and the DFB Pokal title.<\/p>\n
“Bringing Harry Kane to Munich was an important coup in the history of the club,” Rummenigge told T-Online. “It is known that he had a release clause in his contract.<\/p>\n
“He has indicated that he did not trigger it and definitely intends to remain in Munich. And as agreed, the head of the operational area will meet with him at some stage after the season.”<\/p>\n
