IRVINE, Calif. (AP) \u2014 Christian Pulisic trained away from his U.S. teammates for the third day in a row Wednesday because of a calf injury, raising concerns about whether he will be available for Friday’s World Cup second game against Australia.<\/p>\n

“For me, Christian is one of the top five wingers in the world,” Weah said. “He’s one of my favorite players to watch. It’s great to play with him for a long time. He’s a very humble player, just to do little things. I think he gets a lot of noise, but Christian is great. He showed it against Paraguay. His ability when he can stand on the ball is great. It helps the team. I’m very proud of him. I hope he’s ready for Friday.”<\/p>\n
Other options in Pochettino’s attack include Gio Reyna, who scored the winning goal for the United States against Paraguay and provided dynamic playmaking moments from the flank for the United States.<\/p>\n
Sebastian Berhalter replaced Pulisic at half-time in the opening game, with starting midfielder Malik Tillman already having an impressive game in Pulisic’s absence.<\/p>\n
“I felt like we were still threatening and creating chances (in the second half),” Robinson said. “We couldn’t move them forward in the game until Gio scored at the end. Like I said, we have a lot of guys ready to step in.”<\/p>\n
