He previously coached Eintracht Frankfurt in the Bundesliga.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;An astute tactician, Frenchman and proponent of a three-man defense, he is committed until 2028,&#8221; Lens said.<\/p>\n<p>Mr. Topmeler, who spoke in fluent French during his presentation, said: <span class=\"LinkEnhancement\">fired by Eintracht<\/span> January after poor results. He led the team to Champions League qualification after finishing third in the Bundesliga. <span class=\"LinkEnhancement\">2024-25 season<\/span>.<\/p>\n<p>His father, Klaus Topmeler, was a striker for Kaiserslautern and made three appearances for West Germany in the late 1970s. Later, as a coach, he led Bayer Leverkusen to an unprecedented Champions League final in 2002.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMy father was a huge influence on me with his mindset of the game of being very aggressive and not being afraid of anyone,\u201d Dino said. &#8220;I was inspired by (Jose) Mourinho, the way he works with the players.
