Ebelesi Eze insists he will take a penalty in the World Cup shootout even after being heartbroken in the Champions League final.<\/p>\n
Eze missed out on Arsenal’s penalty shoot-out defeat to Paris Saint-Germain but said he would have no hesitation in stepping up again for England.<\/p>\n
When asked if he would take a shot in the World Cup shootout, Eze said: “If asked, of course I would. Why wouldn’t I take a shot?”<\/p>\n
“Football has everything. You have to accept everything as it is and try to enjoy it as much as possible. Playing in the Champions League final is where I want to be and what I want to do.”<\/p>\n
“We’re going to try again next season. If a penalty is given, I’m going to be there again. All the big players miss big penalties and have these kinds of moments.<\/p>\n

“I’ve gotten messages from everyone about that moment. For me, it’s not something I wish had never happened. I’m grateful that it happened. I’m going to grow from what happened, learn from it and move forward.”<\/p>\n
Arsenal star Eze also insisted he has no intention of changing his style when it comes to penalties, even after failing in the Champions League final shootout.<\/p>\n
Eze, who was also absent from the 2025 Community Shield game against Liverpool, which went to penalties, often teetered on the run before taking a shot against PSG, but his shot went wide.<\/p>\n

However, Eze insisted that although he receives many messages of support from other players, it does not affect his confidence or belief.<\/p>\n
England star Eze added: “I think I’ve been penalized for a long time, but it’s part of the journey. We have to keep improving and finding new ways to improve.”<\/p>\n
“I’m not going to stress too much because I know I’m in this position for a reason and there’s training behind it.<\/p>\n
“Honestly, even before you talk to the other players, you can see how the big players carry themselves. They step up and do what they have to do.”<\/p>\n
“If you’re going to make a mistake, you’re going to make a mistake. If you’re going to finish, you’re going to finish. It’s about having the mentality to keep going. That’s part of the journey.”<\/p>\n
