Lewis Hall wants to leave Newcastle following a rift in his relationship with Eddie Howe and is open to a move to Manchester United, according to reports.<\/p>\n
The left-back flourished at St James’ Park as the season progressed, but was not selected for the England squad and is understood to be unhappy with Howe, placing the blame on him. Hall was unhappy that he was changed to right-back just before Thomas Tuchel named him in his World Cup squad.<\/p>\n
The former Chelsea youngster reportedly felt in the final weeks of the season that his game time and rankings were not helping his World Cup aspirations.<\/p>\n
He came on as a substitute at half-time in the 2-1 defeat against Bournemouth in April, and started on the bench in the following games against Arsenal and Brighton. The Sun reports that Hall was involved in an altercation with Howe, with Newcastle officials fearing their partnership may have come to an end.<\/p>\n
Howe previously insisted: “My wish is for all the players who want to go to go. The World Cup and the national team is a big moment for them so my first thought is for them.”<\/p>\n
The 21-year-old would be open to joining the Red Devils, who are looking to sign a long-term left-back as Luke Shaw’s contract expires next year.<\/p>\n
However, Newcastle deny there was any rift between Hall and Howe, with the left-back signing a contract at St James’ Park until 2029. Chronicle Live reports that Hall has not submitted a transfer request and remains on good terms with Howe.<\/p>\n
The Magpies have already sold Anthony Gordon to Barcelona, \u200b\u200bresulting in \u00a370m in the bank, which should ease their financial worries.<\/p>\n

Howe’s side boast a number of salable assets, which the club will be keen to hold on to as they look to bounce back from their slump. Hall, Sandro Tonali and Bruno Guimar\u00e3es have all been linked with rival clubs and would command big transfer fees, but Newcastle would prefer to keep them rather than cash in.<\/p>\n
The decision to sell Alexander Isak late last summer had a final impact on their season. The Swede made it clear he wanted to move to Liverpool, sparking a public uproar with Newcastle trying to cover up the situation while sourcing a replacement for the striker.<\/p>\n
