Liverpool are looking for a replacement for Mohamed Salah following his departure, and are one of the clubs looking to lure Yann Diomande away from RB Leipzig.<\/h2>\n

Liverpool are late in the race to sign RB Leipzig star Yann Diomande, who has reportedly verbally agreed to a move to Paris Saint-Germain. Diomande has emerged as one of Europe’s brightest young stars and is attracting a lot of interest ahead of the summer transfer window.<\/p>\n
The 19-year-old winger played 36 games in all competitions for Leipzig this season in his debut campaign in Germany, scoring 13 goals and providing 10 assists. His contract runs until June 2030, but he could be on the move after just one season with the club.<\/p>\n
As reported by Mirror Football, Leipzig want to keep Diomande after qualifying for the Champions League. With Liverpool, PSG and Bayern Munich vying for the Ivory Coast international, they are set to hold tough negotiations.<\/p>\n
Liverpool want to sign a right-winger to replace Mohamed Salah, who left the club after nine productive years. Diomande has long been a target, but PSG appear to have taken a step ahead in this race.<\/p>\n

French outlet Futto Mercato reports that the Bundesliga’s Young Player of the Season has agreed to move to Paris, where he will strengthen an already established attacking line-up that includes Kvi\u010da Kvaratschelia, Ousmane Demb\u00e9l\u00e9, Desiree Douet and Bradley Barcola.<\/p>\n
However, it is further reported that Diomande is also interested in Liverpool rather than Bayern. The next step would be to agree a transfer fee of more than \u00a3100m with Leipzig, who he signed for just \u20ac20m (about \u00a317m) from Leganes in July.<\/p>\n
According to ESPN, Leipzig have placed a \u20ac130m (about \u00a3112m) price tag on their star player. They could also try to extend Diomande’s contract on improved terms to avoid interest, as a legal dispute between Diomande’s former and current agents is further complicated by the Court of Arbitration for Sport.<\/p>\n

Diomande told reporters last month that he was in no hurry. “My contract here runs until 2030, so I have four years left,” he said. “What will happen after that? I don’t know. I’m a Leipzig player.<\/p>\n
“I will never forget this opportunity. It’s not just about playing football, but the club has helped me a lot off the pitch. The media only sees me on the pitch, but the club has helped me a lot with my family and my mother. The only thing I can do for them is to give everything on the pitch and this is what I try to do every day.”<\/p>\n
“Nobody knew about me before and 20 million euros is a lot of money. It was a big risk for them, but I’m grateful for that. And as I said today, we’re moving in the right direction and it’s not over yet. We need to keep moving forward and keep working hard.”<\/p>\n
