Radio presenter and former footballer Alan Brazil has provided a video update on his health after undergoing life-saving surgery and hinted at when he could return to talkSPORT.<\/h2>\n

Alan Brazil’s health is beginning to “rapidly improve” after undergoing life-saving surgery. The talkSPORT presenter admitted that “he almost died” before NHS staff performed the miracle and that he was a “lucky boy”.<\/p>\n
The station also vowed to return to radio in the coming weeks, enjoying the sunshine of the Bank Holiday weekend in Suffolk. The 66-year-old, who has been a mainstay on the show since its inception in 2000, has been absent from his usual breakfast slot, leaving fans wondering about his status following his absence from Cheltenham Festival.<\/p>\n
The former Ipswich Town and Tottenham ace revealed he underwent surgery earlier this month. Brazil lost significant weight during his time away from competition.<\/p>\n
“Hey guys, how’s it going?” the Brazilian posted on Instagram. \u201cIt\u2019s been a great day, it\u2019s been a great weekend, I hope you\u2019re just lying in the sun and enjoying it.<\/p>\n
“As you can see, I’m starting to get better quickly. This is great news. I don’t mind telling you this because I almost died.<\/p>\n

“But listen, what happened is a miracle. The NHS, it’s amazing. I can’t thank the people of Cambridge enough. They saved my life. But I’m on the road to recovery. I’m sure I’m on the road to recovery.”<\/p>\n
“I miss radio. I’ll be back. It’s going to be a great day of sunshine tomorrow here in Suffolk. It won’t be long, Brazil will be back in a few weeks!”<\/p>\n
“Thank you for all the messages. I really appreciate it. I’m a lucky girl.”<\/p>\n

Colleagues at Brazilian talkSPORT showed overwhelming support for him following his public message. Former Spurs midfielder Jamie O’Hara said: “I can’t wait for the big legend to come back.”<\/p>\n
“We miss Al,” Gabby Agbonlahor said.<\/p>\n
Andy Goldstein added: “It’s a beautiful sunny day. It’s great to see things getting better.”<\/p>\n
Former Rangers striker Ally McCoist also commented on the football. “The big guy doesn’t seem too bad. Still, Wiznae has a penalty, a clear red point in the old company’s game xx,” he said.<\/p>\n
Although he also missed a radio show in February, Brazil’s recovery will continue. At that time, he missed two weeks of shows due to an ear infection.<\/p>\n
