The club legend left the Anfield pitch to a standing ovation after claiming an assist against Brentford on the final day of the Premier League season.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>When manager Arne Slott sent Salah off, the entire stadium stood in a standing ovation, thanking him for his contribution to winning the Premier League and Champions League. Salah announced earlier this year that he was moving on after a difficult final season on Merseyside.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>The players came to Salah&#8217;s side as he savored the opportunity for a few minutes, applauding from every corner of Anfield and enjoying the company of each of his team-mates.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p data-mce-linkchecker-status=\"valid\">He also knelt and bowed at the stadium in incredible gratitude for their unwavering support over the years. Salah was also given a guard of honor, but ultimately left the pitch and sat on the bench.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>Before the match, a giant tifo was unveiled at the Kop end as Liverpool fans paid their final farewell to the winger.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>He wrote: &#8220;I want to see Liverpool go back to being a heavy metal attacking team that opponents fear and a team that wins trophies.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>&#8220;That&#8217;s the football I know how to play and it&#8217;s an identity that we need to recover and keep forever. It&#8217;s non-negotiable and everyone who joins this club needs to adapt to it. Winning a game here and there is not how Liverpool should be.&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>&#8220;The important thing is to qualify for the Champions League on Sunday and I will prepare Mo and the whole team in the best possible way for the game.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>\u201cWe were very disappointed after the loss against Villa. If we had won we would have qualified for the Champions League, but we didn&#8217;t get there. We have one game left and this is a very important game for us as a club.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>&#8220;I don&#8217;t know if that has affected the group, but from what I&#8217;ve seen, the team has trained very well this week and we want to continue training very well over the next two days, so we&#8217;re as prepared as possible.
