Manchester United were interested in RB Leipzig star Benjamin Sesco, and it was claimed that Rasmus Hozilund could be used as a make-up class for potential deals<\/h2>\n

RB Leipzig is reportedly interested in Rasmus Hozilund as a potential replacement for Benjamin Sesco, but Manchester United strikers don’t want to join them. Sesko is deeply connected with the transition to the Premier League this summer.<\/p>\n
United and Newcastle are interested in the 22-year-old, while Magpies have filed an opening bid of just under \u00a370 million. Meanwhile, United are supported for prolonged negotiations with Leipzig over Sesco.<\/p>\n
It was suggested that United could win the Sesco race by offering Hojlund to Leipzig to Hojlund as part of the swap deal. However, Talksport reports that Hojlund “revealed that he didn’t want to go there.”<\/p>\n
The news comes after United boss Reuben Amorim admits he can’t give Hozilund’s future guarantees. After Hojlund won preseason Bournemouth 4-1, Amorim said:<\/p>\n
“The important thing is that the strikers here are really working really well, they’re improving, they’re helping the team, and that’s the most important thing. The important thing is that Rasmus is scoring the goal.<\/p>\n

“He’s really connected with the team. He’s improving. Again, we’re missing out on goals last season so we don’t know what will happen until the market closes.<\/p>\n
“Every time we have to kick the ball, we kick the ball when we’re more pressed. His ability to hold the defender and connect to support helps us play better.<\/p>\n
“I’m really happy with the players last season. They’re improving. They look like another team today. Let’s continue with that. I’m really happy with Brian (Mbeumo), Mateus (Cunya), and even Diego (Leon).<\/p>\n

“You can see it. He’s a clever guy. He’s a guy from Paraguay to come to the Premier League. He’s really strong, so I’m really happy with the three guys.”<\/p>\n
However, Hozilund appears keen to fight for his place at United, insisting that the new striker signs him to “sharp” him. “I think the most important thing for me is to keep working hard and stay focused, and obviously see what happens,” he said.<\/p>\n
“My plan is very clear and I think it’s about staying for my spot and fighting no matter what happens. Competition is fine with me. It makes me sharp. I’m ready. I’m in a sharp mood.<\/p>\n
