A Czech women’s soccer coach has been banned for life by the sport’s European governing body UEFA after she secretly filmed her players in locker rooms and shower rooms.<\/p>\n

1. Former FC Slovacko coach Petr Vlahovski was found guilty last year of filming more than a dozen women over a four-year period in the Czech Republic. In the country, he received a one-year suspended prison sentence and a five-year ban from coaching.<\/p>\n

UEFA’s Control, Ethics and Disciplinary Committee ruled that Vlachowski had breached the rules on offensive or obscene conduct. A lifetime suspension was announced on Tuesday.<\/p>\n

UEFA also asked FIFA to impose an international ban on Vulakhovski and asked the Czech Football Federation to revoke his coaching license.<\/p>\n

“This result sends a strong and necessary message that there is no place for abusive and inappropriate behavior in football and that protecting the health of players must remain a priority at all levels of the game,” world players’ association FIFPRO said in a statement.<\/p>\n

Vlachowski was arrested in 2023 after authorities discovered the footage online. He coached at 1.FC Slovacko for nearly 15 years. He also coached the Czech Republic U-19 women’s national team.<\/p>\n
