The brothers are well-known City fans and are often spotted at matches.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>BBC cameras caught the pair celebrating in a private box, with pundit Micah Richards saying: &#8220;I see the City Boys over there. Are those Liam and Noel? They&#8217;re always in the big final.&#8221; The Beeb host Mark Chapman said with a laugh: &#8220;That&#8217;s a pretty safe bet!&#8221; before Richards replies, &#8220;Chappers, you have better eyesight than me!&#8221; However, Rooney, United&#8217;s all-time top scorer, opined: &#8220;I say about Liam and Noel, I never saw them there when City didn&#8217;t win anything.&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>But former City defender Richards hit back: &#8220;What? They were there!&#8221; Rooney replied, &#8220;I didn&#8217;t see it.&#8221; Richards labeled Rooney bitter, saying: &#8220;We have footage of that! Now he&#8217;s just blushing bitterly.&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>But Rooney praised United&#8217;s neighbors for taking chances against a struggling Chelsea side and pushing them all the way. He added: &#8220;It wasn&#8217;t a great game. I thought Chelsea were good.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>&#8220;With the quality of Manchester City, you know sooner or later one of their superstars is going to open up a chance. That goal was unbelievable. Chelsea had a few half-chances and screamed penalties that weren&#8217;t penalties. You just know City can create that one chance.&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>Daniel Sturridge, who was standing alongside Rooney and Richards, said: &#8220;Chelsea were very disciplined. They needed their moments of brilliance. The little movements from[Erling]Haaland and the delicacy of Semenyo&#8217;s flicks were instinctive.&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>&#8220;This is what it takes to win a title like this. Again, Bernardo Silva works tirelessly for his team-mates. He has put in a lot of effort. Man City keeps getting stronger and stronger. It&#8217;s been a successful season for them in terms of trophies.&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>Rooney wore a cast on his left hand during the BBC interview due to his injury. And in a segment on the Beebs Wayne Rooney Show podcast, while footage of Everton goalkeeper Jordan Pickford saving a penalty was shown, he explained:<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>&#8220;Look at this for the sake of preservation. I saved (the penalty), but I hurt my hand, so I&#8217;m seeing a surgeon on Monday to see if I need surgery. By the way, I&#8217;m not wearing my wedding ring because my finger is swollen, just in the newspaper! They know it&#8217;s going to be a big problem.
