Lewis Skelly, 19, is Arsenal’s forgotten man, having disappeared from England’s radar despite having a breakthrough season.<\/p>\n
England manager Tuchel gave Louis-Skelly his debut in England as a left-back and initially stuck with him even after he lost his place at Arsenal, even citing his duty of care to young players as the reason.<\/p>\n
If that happens, Tuchel should also be rewarded and gain momentum, especially if Lewis-Skelly can bring something special.<\/p>\n

That list had to be submitted to FIFA by 23:59 Central European Time on Monday night.<\/p>\n FIFA will then allow each country to be reduced to 26 players by June 1st, with the squad list officially announced on June 2nd. Now, Tuchel will name 26 players next week, so we’ll know by then, but there may be players on the waiting list or suspected injuries. Troop 55 has become a “bit of a thing” since it was mentioned several times in Gareth Southgate’s conversations. It’s not new. It’s a procedural thing.<\/p>\n National associations can name them as they wish. Brazil played a match on Monday, with Neymar also in attendance. But the English Football Association takes a different view, refusing to reveal their names.<\/p>\n England will probably use three strikers, so it could be Ivan Toney. Danny Houellebecq is thought to be in the cast, with Luke Shaw also appearing. Ben White looks likely to miss out due to injury. The same goes for Tino Livramento. Is there a way back for Trent Alexander-Arnold?<\/p>\n Again, Tuchel is likely to select any player in the top 55, but this has not been made public. There were no leaks. Instead, journalists, players and clubs hear whispers. Leak is a term used by people who cannot hear whispers. He has been showing for the past three months that he should be on the plane.<\/p>\n Match Rating: 6\/10<\/p>\n He could not hold out in the first half and was sent off due to injury. What an unfortunate break, and one that would end his chances of making it to the World Cup, however slim.<\/p>\n Current form: 7\/10<\/p>\n He has played an active role as an Arsenal warrior. It’s no longer the first choice. But give it your all. A bit of a cult figure. He may move on this summer, but he will depart on a strong note.<\/p>\n England team rating: 4\/10<\/p>\n Injuries and competition – I’m giving it a generous 4. But that’s the reality. It’s a shame. It’s worth more.<\/p>\n Match Rating: 7\/10<\/p>\n He was a driving force in midfield, but then – inexplicably – moved to full-back. What on earth was Mikel Arteta thinking? It’s really amazing. He made his return against Fulham and was named man of the match, and then went on to play in the Champions League semi-final, where he had a fantastic performance. This is a kind of relief.<\/p>\n England team rating: 6\/10<\/p>\n This is a comeback of sorts. He’s still a 6, but he’s been away from the spotlight for a long time, so he deserves more recognition. He should go. But that is Tuchel’s call.<\/p>\n Match Rating: 5\/10<\/p>\n he was poor He rarely appeared in big matches after Mikel Arteta praised his “aura” and “fear factor”. It was one of Arsenal’s biggest disappointments. Saka is great, but this was a let down.<\/p>\n Current form: 7\/10<\/p>\n He has performed brilliantly since his return, apart from West Ham. He looked lively, sharp, and dangerous. He seems to be doing well. It will be just in time for the World Cup. Except on Sunday!<\/p>\n England team rating: 9\/10<\/p>\n No doubt about it. His qualities get him on the plane.<\/p>\n Match Rating: 5\/10<\/p>\n poor. Arsenal became much better when Martin Odegaard came in and took the team forward. It’s very calm and quiet. It’s too relaxing.<\/p>\n Current form: 7\/10<\/p>\n Overall excellent. He gives Thomas Tuchel something to think about as a number 10 role and a player who can cover on the left.<\/p>\n England team rating: 7\/10<\/p>\n Although it is still unclear, he achieved a good enough result to outperform the likes of Phil Foden and Cole Palmer, who may not be in the best condition.<\/p>\n Match Rating: 5\/10<\/p>\n The game started with 10 minutes left, so it’s hard to judge or read. Add a little quality to the build-up to the goal.<\/p>\n Current form: 6\/10<\/p>\n It wasn’t enough.
